The Bible is a recondite chronicle of the creation of the world, humans, and human development. A chronicle God passed onto humans narrating how an individual’s odyssey in the world and lifestyle (Abraham) will influence the direction of world history when God takes residence in the world among men in the twenty-first century.
The Bible is a lengthy classical poem like Homer’s epic; the difference is the Bible is an epic canto with rhythm; it narrates, “What has been, what is, and what shall be,” in time to come until a day expressly set aside by God for Bible interpretation. One day, God calls His Day or “The Day of the Lord.” Before that day, no person, alive, dead, or in heaven, understood the Bible. References to that day were to prepare humans before today for when sealed prophecies in the Bible that had puzzled humanity would be unsealed and explained to the world. The Bible writing was encrypted with poetic literary paradoxes such as prosopopoeia, allegory, hyperbole metaphors, satire, etc.
This is why when the Bible uses the word cloud” hyperbolically to depict modern man’s internet, cloud technology, TV, etc., orthodox religious institutions will interpret the same word cloud as the flight of humans to heaven to escape the destruction of the world because of the adverb “in the.” Human postulations of the Bible’s writings have been to her peril, as we witnessed recently with Chad and Lori Vallow Daybell’s debacle at Idaho’s doomsday cult movement for killing three members of their family. The confession and conviction of Anthony Todt of Connecticut for killing his wife, three children, and his dog to avoid what he ignorantly assume is approaching doomsday, the “End of the world.’’
This movement is now threatening the world, as it now appears military institutions have bought into this preposterous doomsday argument of the end of the world. The Bible spoke of the end of a timeline of human ignorance of God in human development, not the destruction of humans or the world.
The Noun Cloud is a hyperbolic Depiction of Modern men’s Television, the Internet, and Smartphones as the Platform on Which Humans Will See the Expected Messiah.
Review Revelation 1: 7KJV 7: “Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindred’s of the earth shall wail because of him.” Even so, Amen.”
The doomsday cult movement will not accept their errors. As it was in Jesus Christ’s day, they are unwilling to admit their ignorance because if they admit they erred, they fear the loss of massive revenues and the influence their control of these institutions bestowed on them; meanwhile, ignorant members of the public continue to suffer and die in the hands of this ignorant priest. The worst tragedy was the November 18, 1978, Jonestown massacre in Guyana, where Pastor Jim Jones poisoned over 1,005 of his followers with cyanide so they could all go to heaven together in his ignorant mind.
Conventional media has not helped in this conversation. They do not report alternative opinions to doomsday cult movement opinions to stop these killings, self-immolations, and suicides. Doomsday church movements are propagating about the end of the world. Immanuel Kant said, “Godliness is the recognition of all our duties as divine commands”. I pray those in the media see journalism as a divine command from God to report the truth, educate, and preempt tragedies in our communities. Amen.
